Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the Smart Plates service (“Smart Plates”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using Smart Plates, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Smart Plates is a digital meal‑planning and nutrition‑tracking platform designed to help users make healthier food choices.
Our goal is to provide users with smart personalised meal plans, portion guidance, and nutritional insights.

02. Service Availability
Smart Plates aims to provide continuous access; however, service availability may be affected by scheduled maintenance, server upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues.
We may restrict access to certain features temporarily while improving our meal‑planning algorithms or updating app infrastructure.
03. Your Status
By using Smart Plates, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are legally capable of entering into binding agreements.
- Any information you provide (such as dietary preferences, health goals, or profile information) is accurate and kept up to date.
04. Medical Conditions
Smart Plates does not provide medical advice.
All nutritional or meal‑planning guidance is for general informational purposes only.
If you have a medical condition, including but not limited to diabetes, allergies, IBS, pregnancy, heart conditions, or chronic illness, you must consult a qualified healthcare professional before using Smart Plates.
We accept no liability for decisions made based on information provided in the app.
05. Cancellations and Consumer Rights

Refunds may be granted in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, for example:
- Weekly Orders are none refundable once orderedafter Thursday evening (order cut off time)
- Monthly subscriptions are non‑refundable once the billing period has started.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms (e.g., sharing paid content, misuse of the platform, or providing false information).
06. Availability and Pickup
- Monday Morning Pickup 7am to 9am
- Tuesday Evening Pickup 5.30pm to 6.45pm
- Wednesday Morning Pickup 7am to 9am
- If you miss your allocated time slot please visit the studio, if someone is available, they will assist
Availability of items may depend on location, supplier stock, or partner store hours.
Pickup times may change due to gym closures, supplier delays, or external factors and Bank Holidays
We are not responsible for delays caused by third‑party providers.
07. Risk and Title
For physical goods (such as portion‑control tools, recipe kits, or smart scales):
- Risk transfers to you once items are collected or delivered.
- Ownership transfers only after full payment is received.
08. Price
Smart Plates clearly displays pricing for all services or goods, such as:
- £4.50 Per overnight oats
- £8.00 Per breakfast
- £8.00 per main meal
- £4.50 to £8.00 per special meal/promotional meal item
- Packages vary depending on monthly offers and ingredients costs
- Some dishes may have an additional charge due to Meat, Fish and Poultry supplier prices
We reserve the right to update prices. Any changes will apply from the next billing cycle, with advance notice provided via email or in‑app notification.
09. Warranties
Smart Plates is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- meal plans meet every dietary requirement, unless stated
- the app will function without interruptions,
- the platform will help achieve specific health or fitness goals.
We disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Liability
Smart Plates does not exclude liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence,
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation,
- any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
We are not liable for:
- reliance on meal plans, recipes, or nutrition calculations,
- loss of data or profits,
- health or weight outcomes,
- indirect or consequential damages.
Use of Smart Plates is at your own risk.
11. Complaints

12. Intellectual Property Rights
All Smart Plates content — including logos, branding, recipes, meal plans, images, app code, and educational materials — is owned by Smart Plates or licensed appropriately.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse‑engineer, or reproduce any part of the service without written permission.
13. Privacy
Your personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and use your data, including dietary preferences, account information, and optional health data.
By using Smart Plates, you consent to the processing described in our Privacy Policy.
14. GDPR Compliance (Data Protection)
Smart Plates complies with the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

16. Holidays/Shutdown
As we are a small start-up we have limited number of staff, therefore holidays / shutdown weeks will be required for the team. This will be planned in advanced, and you will be receiving at least one month’s notice if not longer, this will be highlighted on both the website as by email.
We can always cook the additional meals for freezing purposes if required, this will be sent via an email with all the required information for pre order.
Should a medical condition/accident, death or bereavement occur we uphold the rights to stop production immediately, all money will be refunded if orders have been placed.
17. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections remain valid.
These Terms form the entire agreement between you and Smart Plates.
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect legal, technical, or business changes.
18. Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of London, UK.
